The owner of The Ridings Shopping Centre, NewRiver, are looking for a would-be entrepreneur to partner with them to become a business partner on a retail venture which will see them run a new confectionery kiosk in the centre.
A fully-functional, bespoke Sweet Factory unit will be purchased and initially stocked by NewRiver for the new business partner to run. The kiosk will be located at a prime location in the centre, next to The Garden, a newly created dining area and bar on the upper mall of The Ridings, which also includes a kids’ play area.
The successful applicant will then run the venture as their own retail business, in partnership with NewRiver, with net profits split on a 50/50 basis with a small franchise fee payable to Sweet Factory. The business partner will also have access to business mentoring and support services, with further opportunities to expand into other NewRiver shopping centres, of which there are a further 32 across the UK, should the business prove successful.

It is a great opportunity for someone to become their own boss as the successful applicant will take on a ready-made retail business right in time for Christmas, and will benefit from our healthy weekly footfall of 220,000.”
The Sweet Factory kiosk will be ready to launch in time for Christmas. NewRiver is inviting applicants to register their interest and request the application pack by Friday 3 November 2017. Successful applicants will then be invited to attend an interview panel in the second half of November 2017. Further terms of business will apply.
